Description

On December 7, 1975 a young team of Canadians shocked the alpine ski racing world by dominating the opening race of the FIS Alpine World Cup in Val dIsere, France. Their unique style of alpine ski racing inspired World Cup Founder Serge Lange to call them“Crazy Canucks” and the name was adopted by broadcasters and journalists around the sporting world as they followed these Canadians daredevils through a decade of victories including the classic events of the World Cup: on the Lauberhorn downhill in Wengen, in the Hahnenkamm at Kitzbuhel and the Arlberg-Kandahar races. $10 dollars from the sale of this 40th anniversary commemorative t-shirt will be contributed to the development of future Canadian champions in alpine ski racing who aspire to follow in the tracks of the Crazy Canucks - to make their own mark in the sport and to realize their dream of one day representing Canada on the world stage.
